is papa bear "endorsing" obama?
just a question, considering how well the interview with obama went, and how he had nice words for obama up on his blog. not that o'reilly was that nice to obama because he still acted like a douche but the fact that obama handled the interview reall well surprised me. i laughed when obama interrupted o'reilly trying to interrupt him.
is it safe to speculate that o'reilly is going to endorse obama now? i don't think so but crazy shit's been happening lately anyway. what's happening to this world?
first, the man. the barack obama i witnessed is self-confident, determined and driven. he was acutely aware of his surroundings from the moment he entered the room. he looks you in the eye and touches your shoulder. he understands how to connect one-on-one. [...]
on the foreign policy front, obama has convinced me that he is tough but cautious. he rose up quickly because he vehemently opposed the iraq war. but now i see a man who understands the victory that has taken place in iraq. i don't believe he wants to screw that up. i could be wrong.
after going mano-a-mano with obama on television, i am also persuaded that he is a sincere guy-that he wants the best for all americans. he's an ideologue, but not a blind one. he understands that his story is incredible, and, i have come to believe, he is grateful to the american system for allowing it happen.
it is true that we don't know whether senator obama has the ability to solve complex problems, but you can say that about all presidential contenders. - o'reilly
anyway, watch all four parts of the papa bear vs obama interview:

the obama and bush greek temple
this stupid argument might gain traction at some point soon. it's so stupid i didn't even think it was going to be a big deal, until obama's the one to do it.
republicans somehow are making a big deal of obama's stage set tonight, claiming that the greek architecture somehow show that obama is trying to appear like a deity, like zeus. the argument that the pillars that look like a greek temple will haunt obama later on is just downright retarded.
rush limbaugh is already calling it a charade. i mean, seriously, why are these media people so darn stupid? everything obama does is a bit too much, but when bush did it then in 2004, no one gave a shit. what's with the double standard? has the american education system really gone down the drain the past eight years that these hireporters have no better issues to write about?
it never cease to amaze me how crazy american politics and media can become.
it's just downright stupid for these darn republicans who supposedly champion the idea of democracy to suggest such flagrant accusations against obama when the birth of democracy was, uh, lemme guess, ancient greece?
umm, greek architecture influence:
and uh,
university of virginia, designed by thomas jefferson (zeus back then)
why is this suddenly a big deal? what is wrong with these people?
why do i feel like im watching a really bad version of idiocracy when i watch all these political pundits on tv and newspapers?

why this woman resonates sexism we are against
i wish i were in denver today, just so that i can attend the dnc convention. it should be quite a historic moment and i hope obama will deliver a kick-ass and memorable speech. but it should be noted that some ultra clinton supporters might just rampage through the crowd this week and show themselves as a bunch of idiotic rowdy fools.
i really dont understand how selfish this woman is. debra bartoshevich is a democratic wisconsin delegate but decides to cross-over and plan to vote for john mccain. she even appears in mccain's newest ad to be aired in key tossup states soon. transcript and video below:
JOHN MCCAIN: I'm John McCain, and I approved this message.
*warning: this ad is aimed for old people. a terribly directed video. this woman can't even act. and the background music is just down right horrid.
second, almost every democrat can agree that the difference between hillary's and obama's plans for the country are so minute it's even ridiculous to debate the mandates of the two.
third, i dont understand how you can still vote for a republican like mccain who's almost always against what obama and hillary are for.
you seriously want to bet another four years of detrimental policies? mccain is not one who will reform the middle class, health care, taxes, and the energy policies. this is the guy who will pretty much continue the same policies of the bush administration, the guy who graduated at the bottom of his class, cheated on his first wife and married into wealth. he was on the fast track to a pampered, elite lifestyle. i dont get how mccain has the type of experience you were hoping for.
on the other hand, you have obama, who grew up with a single mom and at times ate with food stamps for crying out loud. jesus, my family never been down that low but i find it a truly worthy story of an american dream. the guy went to harvard and became the president of the harvard law review. he just finished paying off his school loans by writing a damn book. i mean, damn. this guy might be an opportunist but he sure is smart as hell.
and somehow you, along with about half of americans, still want an idiot to lead for the next four years. mind you, the past eight years we've had a screw up C student presiding. i just dont understand the logic. it's like, america is becoming the land of illogical or something.
anyway lady, i'm sure you're still angry and can't get over the fact that your favorite candidate lost. but hell, get over it already because surely at times like this, your ego is not as important as fixing the economy and re-building the society. have you never seen in the movies how idiots like you always end up screwing shit up and people like you usually get killed in thriller movies because of your idiocy?
you may talk about sexism and how women like hillary are unfairly treated in the media. but jesus, in this case what you're doing is strengthening people's stereotypical view towards angry women like you. you're hot-headed, cannot think logically, you're unable to weigh or differentiate between boon or bane, you want what you want when you want it.
people like you may just be able to wedge into the already deep wound in the democratic party and if dems lose this year, people will blame those like you who get cheap media attention and ruin the chances of the country to a greater good. people like you will cause sexism to go deeper than where it already is at.
i dont know if, in the future, the democratic party will be ready for people like you to hijack the party simply because you cannot grasp the idea that your candidate lost. and your candidate lost fair and square! just because your candidate is a woman doesn't mean that she's entitled to win automatically. what's sad is that you're using sexism as an excuse, which is sad because it makes me wonder if people like you actually like sexism just so that you can manipulate the democratic system.
seriously lady, you should seek mental help already. you should snap out of your denial before november 4th.

the only ad obama needs
and surprisingly this isn't even obama's own work. obviously obama had some punches thrown at mccain but they aren't dirty or negative enough. do you think americans like to read positive news stories? americans like gossips and dumb water cooler stories. why do you think people watch so many shitty reality tv shows and tourists camp outside of the ivy to take photos of celebrities?
srsly, nice guys don't win elections. play nice all you want till september, then step it up after that. you might raise close to half a billion dollars of donation by election day and if you still can't sucker punch the old dude properly you're wasting people's time. and my 25 bucks buying an obama tshirt.
okay, you might not be the nicest guy cuz your own ads did mislead people at times but not as bad as fox news i am sure.
obviously every four years americans get to choose either a giant douche or a turd sandwich. admit it, at times you have been kinda douchy. now be the giant douche that you are cuz we dont care anymore. really, who wants to eat turd sandwich for four more years?
giant douche, or
turd sandwich.

mccain really likes dancing queen
there's this short piece on blender late july that i just came across. it lists obama's and mccain's top 10 songs. i have to say that if i were to pick a candidate based solely on music, i'd have to vote for mccain.
JOHN McCAIN
1. Dancing Queen ABBA *
2. Blue Bayou Roy Orbison
3. Take a Chance On Me ABBA *
4. If We MakeIt Through December Merle Haggard
5. As Time Goes By Dooley Wilson
6. Good Vibrations The Beach Boys *
7. What A Wonderful World Louis Armstrong *
8. I've Got You Under My Skin Frank Sinatra
9. Sweet Caroline Neil Diamond *
10. Smoke Gets In Your Eyes The Platters *
the asterisks are the songs i know/ love. i mean, i can totally imagine mccain singing and dancing by himself when no one's watching. the fact that no one has yet to make fun of mccain to pick a really really gay/ immasculating song as his number one ultimate fav baffles me. when's the rumor about mccain as a closeted homosexual gonna surface?
BARACK OBAMA
1. Ready or Not Fugees ?
2. What's Going On Marvin Gaye
3. I'm On Fire Bruce Spingsteen ?
4. Gimme Shelter Rolling Stones ?
5. Sinnerman Nina Simone ?
6. Touch the Sky Kanye West ?
7. You'd Be So Easy to Love Frank Sinatra ?
8. Think Aretha Franklin ?
9. City of Blinding Lights U2 ?
10. Yes We Can will.i.am ?
damn obama, you and me cant hang out. i dont know most of the songs you like. i can see myself doing karaoke to oldies music with mccain.
p/s-what's with the damn venetian/ shutters? kanye, you really should suck a fuck for ruining america.

barack obama in skinny ties
some asshole from details magazine said skinny ties are done.
but that a-hole is wrong period.
my personal rule of thumb is, never wear anything skinnier than one and a quarter inches cuz you're not wearing shoe laces on your neck.
but seriously, what's the deal? i haven't seen any photos of obama wearing skinny ties. michelle needs to tell him to wear skinny black ties occasionally. maybe not official events so he doesn't freak out the older white folks he's been unable to reach out to lately.
but if he were in one of the major cities, he should really go with the skinny black suit + white dress shirt + skinny tie + ankle-showing pants + laced-up shoes. he'd definitely win the hearts of all the yuppies and the hipsters - or, in my case, yupsters - without a doubt!
i apologize in advance for more of my bad photoshop work after the jump

the first presidential fist bump/ dap
barack and michelle fist bumping during rally at st. paul, MN.
it didn't look cool when tobi tried to do the fist bump with jim when he returned to scranton.
but i guess when a presidential candidate does the fist bumping right, it's cool again?
